Rickard's
Bison Burger

Try something different with these mouth-watering bison burgers.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs

    Ground Bison
  • 1 cup

    Rickard's Red
  • ½ cup

    Bread Crumbs
  • ¼ cup

    Diced Onion
  • 1 clove

    Minced Garlic
  • ½ tsp

    Salt
  • ½ tsp

    Ground Pepper
  • 1

    Sweet Onion
  • ½ cup

    Rickard's Dark
  • creamy

    Blue Cheese
  • 4

    Brioche Buns
  • leaves of

    Lettuce
  • sliced

    Tomato

Directions

  1. Combine bison and Rickard’s Red in a bowl, marinate for 30 minutes.

  2. While marinating bison, sauté garlic and onion in frying pan until soft.

  3. Combine breadcrumbs, sautéed onion, garlic, and salt and pepper with the marinated bison. Knead by hand until combined.

  4. Form individual patties (6-8 oz each), refrigerate 30 minutes.

  5. For Rickard’s Dark caramelized onions, slice onion, combine in frying pan with Rickard’s Dark. Sauté until onions are golden brown.

  6. Preheat grill to 220ºC/425ºF.

  7. Cook to internal temperature of 70ºC/160ºF.

  8. Toast brioche bun on grill. Place burger on bun, top with Rickard’s caramelized onions, creamy blue cheese, lettuce and tomato.
