SMOKED MAPLE
BBQ GLAZE

Not too sweet and not too spicy, this glaze perfectly complements any protein.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp

    Vegetable Oil
  • 1 sliced

    Yellow Onion
  • 4 julienned

    Jalapeños
  • 4 cloves

    Garlic
  • 1 tbsp

    Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp

    Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 liter

    Cider Vinegar
  • 6 tbsp

    Ketchup
  • 4 tsp

    Salt
  • 1 tsp

    Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp

    Red Chili Flakes
  • 4 tsp

    Smoked Paprika

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, sweat the thinly sliced onions, seeded jalapeño and sliced garlic until softened, about 5-10 minutes.

  2. Add brown sugar, maple syrup, vinegar, ketchup, salt, pepper, chili flakes and paprika and cook for 10-15 minutes until thickened.

  3. Blend with an immersion blender until smooth, strain through a fine metal sieve and refrigerate until needed.
