CLASSIC SLIDER
WITH EMMENTAL CHEESE

Ingredients

  • 1 kg

    Ground Beef
  • 1 tbsp

    Vegetable Oil
  • freshly cracked

    Black pepper
  • a pinch

    Kosher Salt
  • 200 g

    Emmental Cheese
  • 12 mini

    Slider Buns
  • 1/2 head

    Iceberg Lettuce
  • 3 sliced

    Tomatoes
  • 2 sliced

    Red Onions
  • 1/2 cup

    Mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup

    Ketchup

Directions

  1. Preheat BBQ to high heat.

  2. Gently form the ground beef into 12 patties, about 5 centimeters wide.

  3. Season the sliders well with salt and pepper and grill for 4-5 minutes and then flip over carefully with a metal spatula.

  4. Top the sliders equally with the cheese, close the lid of the BBQ and cook for an additional 4 minutes for medium.

  5. Remove sliders from the grill and toast the buns for 1-2 minutes until lightly charred.

  6. To assemble the sliders, spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun, top with lettuce, the burger, onions and tomatoes. Spread ketchup on the top bun and cover, using toothpicks if necessary to keep them together.
